“Rachel” uses a pattern of squares and octagons first found in the grand halls of medieval estates of ancient Europe and Scandinavia. Inspired by the floors of Rachel «Bunny» Mellon found in her estates in Cape Cod, Antigua and her famous farmhouse and library at Oak Spring Farm in Upperville, Virginia, these wool rugs capture the charm of Bunny’s iconic floors in a more updated medium that works for modern living. Handwoven in the traditional kelim technique of wool specially selected for its softness, durability, and ability to take subtle color palettes, this rug comes standard in 3’ x12’, 9’x12’ and 12’x12’, and is available in three colorways: Antiqua Sky (blues), Antiqua Sand (neutrals), and Upperville Blue (blue/grey). The rugs are currently available for pre-order in standard sizes, and can be completely customized in size, scale, and palette, with a 10-12 week lead time.
